This new biller position which will join our team of 7, will perform a variety of billing functions to ensure proper and timely collection of outstanding balances, from both insurance companies and patrons of the establishment. Perform all billing and capturing accurate information provided by documentation or provider. Follow up with patients, physicians, and insurance agencies ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and practice policies for the privacy and security of patient information.
This position is responsible for the day to day clerical and support duties for our provider offices. Responsible for greeting patients and visitors in a friendly manner. Answering all incoming telephone calls in a prompt and courteous manner. Upholding a courteous and professional manner with all patients and visitors while assisting them in their visit to the facility. Ensures compliance with all HIPAA regulations and SLHA policies, for the privacy and security of patient information.
Chronic Care Coordinator
Requires current NYS LPN or NYS RN License. Will coordinate multidisciplinary care for SLHA patients who have chronic health conditions. The chronic care coordinator will assist to improve the capacity of primary care to identify and support the health centers patients with chronic health conditions. The Chronic Care Coordinator is responsible for helping patients to self-manage and modify behavior of specific chronic conditions, utilizing a collaborative process to enhance the patient plan of care. The Chronic Care Coordinator is accountable for delivering outreach and care management services to chronic care patients in a primary care setting. Must have analytical, written and verbal communication skills. Must possess effective clinical judgement and have the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Certified and non-certified Medical Assistants will be considered. Certified Nursing Attendants with 5+ years’ experience will also be considered. Under the direction of a physician, provide clinical care and patient education within the scope of a Medical Assistant. Schedule medical appointments as necessary, prepare patients for examiniation and assist providers with examinations, treatments and special tests and procedures. Take and record basic vital statistics, obtain prior authorizations from insurance companies, maintain and stock inventory, and sort, copy, scan and file a variety of medical reports.
Full Time LPN
Requires current NYS LPN License. Under the direction of the physician, provide direct nursing care and patient education within the scope of the LPN License. Administers medication and schedules medical appointments as necessary.
